Online Services

Connect to your GP services online and save time. Quick, easy and secure.

Important Information

Before ordering medication or contacting the Practice, please read the below messages:

  • Castle Healthcare Practice does not give parents proxy access to their children’s online records.
  • Please ensure that you have nominated a pharmacy for your prescriptions to be sent electronically to, once authorised. This can be done in the NHS App.
  • Medication can be ordered via the NHS App, SystmOnline, directly through your pharmacy, or by completing the paper request slip at the reception desk.
  • Medication requests are not taken over the phone.
  • You do not need to know your NHS number to use NHS services, but it can be useful to have it. Click here to use the ‘NHS Find your NHS number’ service.

You must register at reception for SystmOnline Online Service access.

Registration for online services is separate from registration with the GP practice. To register for SystmOnline online services, just show a receptionist your photo ID, they will then request that your account is set up. You will then be provided with your own personal username and password (please note that this may not be immediately at the time of request). Your account is usually activated within 24 hours. You are then free to change your password at any time. This registration method ensures your identity can be verified by us and your personal details cannot be accessed by others.

Please note, you do not need to contact reception to register on the NHS App.

NHS App

If you’re a patient at our Practice you can now use the NHS App, which is a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone or tablet. You can use the NHS App to get health advice, order repeat prescriptions, manage your hospital referrals, view your GP health record and more. For more information go to www.nhs.uk/nhsapp.

What the NHS App does

  • order repeat prescriptions – see your available medicines, request a new repeat prescription and choose a pharmacy for your prescriptions to be sent to.
  • book appointments – search for, book and cancel appointments at your GP surgery, and see details of your upcoming and past appointments.
  • check your symptoms – search trusted NHS information and advice on hundreds of conditions and treatments, and get instant advice or medical help near you.
  • register your organ donation decision – choose to donate some or all of your organs and check your registered decision.
  • find out how the NHS uses your data – choose if data from your health records is shared for research and planning.
  • view parts of your GP record – including information about medication, allergies, vaccinations, previous illnesses and test results.
  • get advice about coronavirus – get information about coronavirus and find out what to do if you think you have it.
